HCC is developing a hill station in the backwaters of Warasgaon Dam, Pune.
Speaking to newspersons, HCC CMD Ajit Gulabchand said that the company and its partners had floated Lavasa Corporation to develop the Lake City Hill Station Development Project, located an hour's drive from Pune. It is learnt that the other promoters are big construction majors with considerable political clout.

The ultra-modern Lavasa resort township is coming up on 3,600-plus hectares (9,000 acres) set in the picturesque backwaters of the Warasgaon dam, 60 km from here. Plans include captive mini-dams, helipads, ropeways and luxury hotels.
But what's equally conspicuous is the profile of the company's directors and shareholders. They include NCP president Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sadanand Sule and her husband Sadanand Bhalchandra Sule.
