>Dear Friend, Hello,
>
>
>
>Please find enclosed hereto a copy of order dated 27.04.2004 issued by the
>Govt. of Delhi pursuant to the Orders of Delhi High Court dated 20.01.2004
>and 21.04.2004 passed in the PIL filed by Social Jurist raising question of
>integration of children belonging to weaker sections in the Public Schools
>of Delhi which have been given public land on throwaway prices.
>Fortunately, the Supreme Court has also passed similar directions for
>implementation of conditions of land allotment to the public schools in the
>matters in which I represented the parents of Delhi.
>
>
>
>The task of integration of children belonging to the weaker sections in
>Public Schools in terms of the conditions of land allotment read with Court
>and Govt. orders is quite possible only with the required efforts of all
>sections of people of the society. It is an opportunity for every one of us
>desirous to fight against inequity in education to contribute our might to
>make the integration process a reality.
>
>
>
>I, therefore, request you to join with us in this movement by ensuring that
>the children of weaker sections living in your locality and/other
>localities are admitted by the nearby public schools and such children are
>granted freeship. I would also like to have your reaction on this entire
>process of integration. Please also keep me informed about the
>difficulties, if any, you may face in the process.
>
>
>
>I would also like to point out that; in any case, we should never loose
>sight of the fact that unless government formal school system is improved,
>problems regarding UEE are not going to be solved.
